Meet Njambi Good, the Chief Strategy Officer at Save The Bay, originally from Blacksburg, VA.
How long have you worked for Save The Bay?
Just over a year.
How did you hear about Save The Bay and what motivated you to work for the organization?
My first volunteer experience was in high school when I was selected to do a week long fellowship with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and it was life-altering. Spending all day in the mud cleaning trash out of the marsh of that Bay and learning about the need for environmental protection strongly influenced my career trajectory.
What has been your favorite Save The Bay event or experience?
Getting to go out on our restoration programs.
What is the best thing about working with Save The Bay?
The work and the staff.
What other activities or hobbies do you enjoy?
Film, reading, and procrastinating on going to yoga classes.
If you could be one Bay plant or animal, what would it be?
What do you do each day to protect the environment?
Compost, public transportation, and my job ; )
